SUMMARY:Wildflower Walk in Cottonwood Bushland
DESCRIPTION:Come along to wonder and wander this vibrant banksia bushland off Cottonwood Crescent in Dianella. \n\nLearn about urban bushcare from City of Stirling officers\nEnjoy guided walks with flora and fauna experts\nSlow down and experience forest bathing (Shin-rin Yoku)\nChildren’s art activities\n\nA free event including espresso coffee for the first 50 participants \n \nCottonwood Bushland Reserve was previously known as Channel 7 bushland. It is 10 ha of pristine bushland adjacent to the new Seven Hills Housing Development. The Reserve is a remnant of once extensive bushland in the area. A crest of a remnant sand dune\, sloping gently to the east\, supports a range of vegetation types because of the variations in height and the presence of underlying limestone. It is full of Quendas\, Red Wattlebirds\, Singing Honey Eaters\, Banksias\, Sheoaks\, Orchids\, Fungi and more. 28 years ago local advocates saved the Cottonwood Bushland Reserve from development. Now you have the opportunity to become involved in caring for this unique site for the future. \nSee you there \nPlease let us know you are coming. Scroll to the bottom of the page to RSVP. On the day\, enter via Gay Street\, park along Broadcast Drive and join us at the shelter adjacent to the bushland. Look for this sign!  \n \nKeep up to date on our Facebook page  or from our website \nPhotos by John Baas
