Friends of Shenton Bushland

Nuytsia floribunda.

The Friends of Shenton Bushland Inc look after the 25ha bushland reserve in collaboration with the City of Nedlands. Our aim is to maintain and improve the biodiversity of the bushland. This involves:

Hand weeding during winter and spring (mainly bulbous weeds and Geraldton Carnation Weed).

Occasional seed collection (summer time) and planting (late autumn).

Organising community events to enjoy the bushland – guided walks, bush-to-beach walk, fauna surveys.

We meet each Sunday morning from 8am to 10am (you can see our activities documented at http://shenton-bushland.blogspot.com/).

We welcome new members.
